Albuquerque, N.M.–– The leadership at Dream In Action NM, the electoral arm of NM Dream Team––the largest immigrant youth-led organization in New Mexico––, issued the following statement announcing its endorsement of Jinx Baskerville, seeking election to serve at the Albuquerque Public School Board, District 3.
Today, we are proud to officially endorse Jinx Baskerville for APS Board, District 3. Jinx brings a great wealth of knowledge in education from her past 25 years working in this field. She will bring a strong voice to ensure our education system reflects the needs of our diverse students in a culturally and linguistically relevant manner. She believes that in order to build a better, more equitable education system we must put community at the front of the conversation to guide the direction for our present and future.
We look forward to working alongside a great progressive leader like Jinx who will help elevate the voices of our communities in our decisions for education and the success of our children!
DIANM’s members will be launching an accelerated canvassing & digital program for Jinx and will be organizing phone banks, which will also result in getting Albuquerque voters out to vote for our next city mayor and city councilors.
